0:00 welcome to ANI in the air under the porch near the rain and around Baltimore
0:08 this is your daily podcast briefing about the goings-ons in the rounds or
0:12 ten ideas at very school so I am currently looking at a chicken
0:16 approaching me on the staircase of the porch looking at me it's saying there's
0:24 some food here some food mm-hmm no it moves aside yeah so today is a rainy day
0:31 so I'm sitting underneath the porch in the chicken courtyard had some lunch
0:36 here I see remnants of somebody else's lunch here a couple of different lunches
0:41 here so that's nice we like to have outdoor seating even in the rain as much
0:47 as possible so I set that up and I protect the JC table which isn't really
0:53 an outdoor table so we put a little cover over that it's not a hundred
0:59 percent protected but you know hopefully good enough so yeah today there was a
1:06 lot of running in the rain as far as I can tell or at least well I saw some
1:10 people out in the rain I think they were starting to try to try to play Kaga with
1:17 a deflated ball in the rain so you know nothing nothing stops people from doing
1:26 what they want to do since then Phil has pumped up a new Gaga ball and so
1:33 hopefully Gaga can return in its full glory on a nice day soon we also had a
1:42 return to in person of another student actually they were rejoining our school
1:48 so that's nice it's great to have people come back and now there's a no JC today
2:00 I would not have done it anyway because I had an admissions interview it seems
2:06 it'll be just a part one of an admissions interview we'll have a second
2:10 part again and because you know they were clearly not prepared so you know as
2:20 we all know this school is a little hard to understand at first and so we like to
2:24 make sure that they've done a little bit of research before we dive into
2:27 interview and correct any misconceptions they might have we shall see what else
2:37 well I'm preparing to do the budget for next year that's always exciting lots of
2:44 numbers and just a little over I think two and a half weeks or so we will I
2:53 guess two weeks from Sunday we will have our that right I think that's right we
3:01 will have our assembly meeting for the budget we're also having an assembly
3:05 meeting this Friday or assembly meeting this Friday for dealing with some covid
3:16 policy changes touching base yeah I think there'll be you know I'll be
3:26 debate about how careful or not we need to try to suggest people to be and
3:32 closure requirements or not perhaps we will never close under any circumstance
3:39 for covid unless we are told to do so by health authorities so that's quite a
3:43 possibility we don't really know we'll talk about it on Friday I think we're
3:49 going to hopefully as staff have some thought-out policies so we'll see last
3:58 time last week we had almost a two-hour meeting that did not actually end up
4:04 with the motion that passed so see if we can do better I didn't fail either was
4:09 tabled so I guess we'll just see yeah other than that and a lot of soggy
4:16 footprints in the building that's about it I did do a wondrous Wednesday it was
4:21 about wonder so if you're wondering about what I said about wonder please
4:26 check out the wondrous Wednesday and on that note I will depart I will see you
4:34 when I see you oh and there are actually bugs out flying around almost kind of
4:40 looks like a mosquito I feel like it's a little early for mosquitoes but you know
4:45 they just fly like one anyway I have a good one and I will see you when I see
4:50 you addendum I forgot to mention that there was also a meeting of VR
4:57 corporation to unveil the new oculus rift I was able to attend it briefly
5:05 before I was called away to do some other stuff and it looked like it was
5:10 going well they were going over the potential rules and discussing that and
5:14 hopefully we can start having people using equipment soon they will be wiped
5:22 down and reset between each different person's use so looking forward to
5:29 seeing how that rolls out there was also a yearbook deadlines release today and
5:43 I believe well it's in discord somewhere yearbook specifically so it's got
5:57 instructions on discord about the yearbook page but specifically the
6:03 yearbook page is due April 23rd so there you go that's your deadline and so make
6:11 sure to get your page in by then it'd be really awesome if we can get as many
6:19 people to do them as possible I should also remind everybody who might possibly
6:23 be listening to this to do the Steve staff feedback I'll probably do try to
6:29 do another discord and in-person announcement about these things I guess
6:36 maybe tomorrow and then get on Monday and then we'll close it last time I
6:41 checked this morning we had three so plenty of room for other people to us to
6:48 answer the staff feedback or and there's other some a few other questions that
6:54 might be relevant if all you can think about for staff feedback is that we're
6:57 great or whatever you know that's fine but you know we'd love this is an
7:05 opportunity to just get some anonymous feedback and direction from from
7:11 everyone at the school so hopefully that'll get done thanks for doing that
7:19 bye-bye see you when I see you
