0:00 Welcome to ANI In the Air, Under the Sky, By the Fire, and Around Baltimore, your daily
0:08 podcast briefing of all the goings ons, ins and rounds, arts and ideas at our school.
0:13 Today is a very windy day, beautifully sunny, clear skies, I can't quite decide whether
0:19 I'm cold or hot, the wind cools me down, the sun warms me up, but so it is out here under
0:27 the sky. Today we had some JC and school meeting and they kind of merged and that was kind
0:37 of interesting. It's a little bit of a challenge, we had a bit of some microphone issues related
0:44 to using my computer instead of Phil's because Phil had to go and deal with some bank stuff.
0:51 So I apologize to anyone who happens to be listening to this and was online, school meeting
0:56 and I just, you know, I couldn't really attend to the online portion as well, people could
1:08 still speak up but the usual kind of mechanisms just haven't really been in place. I need
1:14 to kind of think about how better to get school meeting to function in this kind of in person
1:20 online thing. It's harder than it was in the fall, possibly because we don't have a tent,
1:25 we're hoping to have a tent next Saturday put up, I guess I should say this Saturday,
1:30 April 3rd. If the weather holds then that's where we'll be and then maybe it'll be a little
1:37 better. Can you hear that wind? It's awesome! Anyway, let's see, what else happened today?
1:47 Some bike riding, there was some tennis golf and some fort activity and running around
1:56 and screaming and all sorts of things like that. It was fun. I did do a talk about Tuesday,
2:07 a few words about Peter Gray's blog and particularly about some research about learning disabilities.
2:18 It's something that as an admissions clerk I run across regularly as a lot of times we
2:26 will have people coming to us from conventional school who have been diagnosed with a learning
2:30 disability and all we can say is that when people come here they tend to do well and
2:39 figure out what to do. This is a couple articles about maybe rethinking about how the sensibility
2:57 of those definitions. It was probably a little rambly, I will try to post a couple of links
3:10 and I didn't even get to talk about math which is the one I know about. Anyway, you all have
3:19 a good one and I will see you when I see you.
