0:00 Welcome to ANI In the Air, Under the Sky, By the Fire, and Around Baltimore.
0:07 It's your daily podcast briefing of all the goings ons, ins and rounds, and some ideas
0:11 said very school.
0:13 So today is Wednesday, February 24th, a day that we will all remember, well, for a day.
0:22 We are back in person.
0:24 We had an amazing turnout, almost essentially the same number of people as we had in the
0:33 fall.
0:34 I'll come back.
0:35 A couple people have come back that weren't here before, and a couple more will be coming
0:43 hopefully at the end of the week.
0:46 So it's been really great to see everybody again.
0:50 It's really been wonderful.
0:52 The field was, well, it was a soggy, wet, muddy mess with rivers all over through it,
0:58 but people were playing in it, coming away with a lot of mud, and they were playing Frisbee
1:09 in the field for a long while, and it looked like somebody was holding, it could almost
1:14 be a cricket bat.
1:15 We put out chairs in the parking lot, everybody was hanging out here, it was really great.
1:21 A lot of energy, really amazing.
1:23 Ashley has set up the fire pit, a nice new galvanized tub to hold it all, and got the
1:36 fire going in the afternoon, and that was nice, really lovely to see some flames, get
1:44 some warmth, smell that smoke, and it's away from the building, so I like that.
1:51 Stacked some firewood, and hopefully we will get more and more firewood to keep our fires
1:57 going around here.
2:03 There was a meeting for organizing the art room, a perennial project, a meeting for creative
2:13 writing, my usual role playing group decided that the first day in person was just so much
2:19 fun, that we'll do it another day.
2:25 It is a little hard to stop doing what one's doing in terms of socializing in person with
2:32 people, talking, talking, talking, so much talking, so, so much talking.
2:38 It's really great to be back, and I hope anyone who is out there online still feels connected,
2:45 we will be still doing everything we were doing in the fall, and hopefully in the winter
2:50 the stuff that developed, trying to make sure everybody out there is still feeling a part
2:56 of this community.
2:57 And we hope you all, whatever's keeping you back, if somebody needs vaccines, hopefully
3:03 that will come quickly, and we hope to see you all as soon as possible.
3:10 Coming back first day is always an interesting thing, you know, before it comes it's hard
3:16 to really imagine kind of being here, uncertainty as to just how does all this go, because,
3:25 you know, it's just like living life, right, it's hard to imagine what is the minute to
3:31 minute, and, but you know, I come on campus and boom, stuff's happening, and, you know,
3:39 the day gets full, it's really fun and amazing.
3:45 So today is supposed to be Wondrous Wednesday, if I continue the stuff that I was doing in
3:49 the fall, I think this isn't really the kind of topic I had in mind, but just it's wondrous
3:57 that we are back here.
4:01 You know, whether it's something to do with the seasons, sunlight, vaccines, effective
4:10 social distancing finally, exhausting of the population who was going to get the stuff,
4:15 I don't know, but the numbers have come down tremendously to allow us to finally come back
4:21 in person, you know, we think safely, and I think that's a pretty good wonder, something
4:29 really wondrous to behold.
4:31 So yeah, we're back, we are back, and hopefully we will not have to shut down again, there's
4:42 no particular reason why we expect things to go back up, there are some buyers variants,
4:49 but so far it hasn't been spiking things, so let's just hope that continues and we can
4:55 stay in person for the rest of the year, and next year will be a full normal year, let's
5:00 just keep our fingers crossed and hope that's the case, because it's been a hard year, as
5:06 I think we all know, but the sun is shining, and the day is young.
5:18 That's everything, I don't remember if I had a call out, a call off sign, what was it,
5:23 I guess just, see you later, talk to you later, I don't know, have a good one.
