0:00 Welcome to ANI In The Air, under the patio roof and around Baltimore, your
0:06 daily podcast briefing of all the goings-ons, ins and arounds, arts and
0:10 ideas Sudbury School. So today was a fairly, I guess, light day. It rained a lot.
0:21 I set up some chairs for eating outside underneath the patio roof. That's the
0:28 chicken area and from the parking lot door, in front of the side blue stairwell
0:35 door and the basement, just so that people can go there and eat. Saw a few
0:42 using them but, you know, for the most part I think still dining room. But we
0:49 have air purifier going on in there, all the windows open, all that good stuff.
0:54 So, we had no JC today because people involved in the cases were not present.
1:01 And let's see, what else? I had a meeting about role-playing interest. I explained
1:14 the the system powered by the apocalypse, which is just basically rolling 2d6 and
1:21 some ideas about what success, failure, and kind of a middle result means. I
1:27 explained that. We talked about genres that we might do and fantasy seemed to
1:33 have the higher desire, although there is some interest in the monster of the week
1:41 format, a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So hopefully we'll be able to get that
1:47 going next week. If you're interested and you're not part of that meeting, be sure
1:53 to message me about that. Alrighty, and yeah, we're just sort of, you know, I guess
2:03 we had our closest proximity of a COVID case. Extended family member was tested
2:11 positive for a family. Their children are staying home while they all get tested.
2:19 But just more of a sign as to what, you know, the numbers are spiking in the area
2:30 and yeah, very likely we will be fully online starting next week and probably
2:37 for a few weeks at least. Hopefully the numbers will come down quickly, but never
2:42 can tell. As I like to say, the time to panic in a pandemic is when no one else
2:49 is panicking. I am panicking. Lovely, huh? Okay, tomorrow I hope we're having
2:59 Article Club at one o'clock. It's on the tragedy of droids, so that'll be fun. Kind
3:07 of talking about what's going on in the Star Wars droids universe. Kind of this,
3:14 yeah, just kind of a weird place in sci-fi because it has a lot of kind of
3:22 different sort of uses and messages going on and just kind of also discard
3:26 it, so the link should be in Discord. And I guess that's all I can think of.
3:35 Certainly lots of people running around today, as always. Young kids with lots of
3:41 energy, even some of the older kids with lots of energy. Where do they get all
3:45 this energy? Gentle rain day though. Today is Wondrous Wednesday, so right after
3:53 this I will try my best to record a podcast on a little bit on quantum field
4:00 theory. I should hopefully finish off this whole physics Wondrous
4:10 Wednesday progress and then maybe, I don't want to talk about evolution for a
4:17 while, so maybe I'll jump into that. But yeah, so today's podcast quantum field
4:24 theory is just kind of to say what's that about and not get too much into it
4:28 because that's some pretty hard crazy stuff. But I can at least tell you what
4:33 it's about. All right, well that's about it. Have a good one and talk to you all
4:40 later.
