Welcome to ANI In The Air, Under The Tent, and Around Baltimore, your daily podcast briefing

So last we spoke, it was our Halloween celebration, the fire had just got its, it was just getting
0:19
started and well that fire went on for a few hours, well attended, much beloved, I remember
0:29
the embers glowing slowly before it was put out at the end of the day.
0:35
There was roasted marshmallows, s'mores if you will, and there was tennis candy in the
0:47
field at one point, and then it looks like a little bit of tennis ball hitting has taken
0:55
a fancy around here.
0:57
So that was kind of the end of yesterday, it was a nice end, saw a few more online people
1:03
come towards the end of the day, so that was kind of cool.
1:09
The, let's see, what else, okay, so today we had JC, and you know, involved a new student,
1:28
but you know, I can see them slowly finding their voice, sometimes it's hard for them
1:33
to really find the voice, and it's really nice to see that, to see really taking ownership,
1:41
there was some actions involving some cleaning that I helped them with because you know,
1:46
they're very young and it's a little hard for them to really know, I think that was
1:50
nice and they were volunteering some action ideas which was, which were you know, taken
1:57
up and it was kind of nice, so that's cool.
2:01
In school meeting, we had, well I'm into the stop rule to get rid of the him or her and
2:08
replace it with them, kind of going, continuing our progression from having these gendered
2:16
pronouns to non-gendered ones, or ones chosen by the people I suppose, but there was approval
2:26
for a holiday shop near Christmas time, it was insufficiently detailed, so it was tabled
2:32
with the hope that it'll come back next week with more details, and then there was a fire
2:38
pit rule amendment which introduced the term fire charmer, it's very charming, basically
2:50
just kind of detailing the responsibilities and protecting them from jerks, okay, acknowledging
3:00
that fire charming is difficult, so that's the school meeting agenda, today we had lots
3:06
of, it was sunny earlier today and it was quite nice, now it's getting cloudy and sort
3:12
of dark, I don't know if it's going to rain, we did decide sadly that we're going to be
3:19
taking down the tent I think early next week, so it might be gone by the time of school
3:23
meeting next week, basically the idea is that if it's raining a lot, nobody wants to walk
3:31
through the field, so we don't need it for that purpose, and in the cold weather, being
3:37
in the sun is actually an advantage, in fact we saw some people wanted to be at school
3:41
meeting kind of standing on the periphery in the sun, so that's good, and let's see
3:53
what else, yeah, did I mention the stick fighting, lots of stick fighting, so that's fun, and
4:06
yeah, oh and we also got some air purifiers finally today, so we'll be setting them up,
4:13
hopefully making the rooms even more filtered, they say that these things work, so I'm hoping
4:19
that's true, and we'll put them in the, mostly in the old building for now, because the old
4:26
building is colder than the new building, so the idea being that the new building can
4:33
have their windows open during the cold weather, and because they usually do anyway, and so
4:40
there's plenty of air flow, and then the old building where it's a little bit colder and
4:44
people want to keep the windows closed, these things should help our HVAC system in filtering
4:50
that air, it's all about filtering the air, so hopefully that'll be a good thing, it won't
4:56
be a bad thing, that's for sure, I have, so today let's talk about Tuesday, and I talked
5:06
about democracy, it's kind of rambly, not really sure what the point was, you might
5:11
want to skip that one, but you know, at 2x speed, how much time you got to lose really,
5:18
so I don't know, this is a day that I kind of want to just hold up and hide, the weather
5:27
is getting dark, election day is promising, actually it seems to be going pretty well
5:33
so far, so hopefully it'll just, you know, pitter patter, but we'll see, it is nice to
5:41
be around all these bright, enthusiastic people in our community here, they really boost the
5:51
spirit.
5:52
Alright, have a great rest of the election day, one day perhaps, kids might be allowed
5:57
to vote in these things, I don't know why they're not, but you have a good one and talk
6:04
to you all later.
