0:00 Alright, welcome to the fourth day of Arts and Ideas in the air, under the tent, and
0:11 around Baltimore.
0:13 Fourth day was the first day of a full week for Arts and Ideas.
0:19 We had our first mandatory announcements.
0:23 That's where we all gather and we make announcements.
0:28 We had people attending online as well as in person.
0:32 Online people were in the dining room voice channel and the in person were under the tent.
0:38 A big, gorgeous, 30 by 50 open air tent, letting in a beautiful, gorgeous day.
0:50 So that was the fourth day's biggest moment but we had many other little moments.
1:03 Field was full of people swinging on the swing tree, climbing up the trees, hanging out in
1:10 the tent, listening and watching the things, playing a little magic.
1:17 I was doing a little programming, trying to get our Anacado system up to snuff, implementing
1:25 the JC and school meeting team lists.
1:27 We actually had another JC case today, one with a five minute rule.
1:32 That's right.
1:33 If a student takes longer than five minutes to get ready to go home, they can be written
1:37 up for violating our five minute rule and that's what happened.
1:42 Being the first case that was kind for this year was just a warning.
1:47 But it was a nice, nice little JC.
1:56 What else happened?
1:57 There was an online class about the history of the bicycles, viewing really history through
2:02 the lens of the bicycle.
2:06 They were kind of discussing exactly how it would go while doing a little bit of history.
2:12 So that was fun.
2:17 I also floated the idea of not having a short time this year.
2:21 That's right.
2:22 That's going to be quite a thing to adjust but I have to say the past three days as well
2:28 as today, I haven't seen much in the way of messes.
2:33 We have a greatly reduced number of in-person students and they're all keeping kind of to
2:38 themselves, socially distancing and all that and the face masks.
2:44 So I guess messes just aren't that much of a thing.
2:48 We're also a little concerned that we really don't want people touching lots of other stuff
2:54 that people have touched.
2:55 So having us all clean these things up is questionable.
3:00 I as janitorial clerk will be cleaning up whatever messes I do come across as well as
3:05 continuing to sanitize and disinfect eye touch areas, particularly the bathrooms and of course
3:15 our dining room which some students still use for eating, although we do encourage of
3:21 course eating outside as much as possible as many of us do.
3:24 All right.
3:26 So that was kind of the fourth day and a beautiful day it was, really, really just lovely.
3:35 You know, I have to say I'm really enjoying being outside under this tent.
3:40 It's just gorgeous.
3:41 We'll have to see when the weather gets more rough, but for right now, these are moments
3:45 that I'm going to treasure for a very long time.
3:49 I mean, it's just gorgeous, gorgeous breeze.
3:52 You know, you can sit in the shade, sit in the sun, we've got tables and chairs, plenty.
4:00 It's really, it's really working out well.
4:03 The internet is a little bit touch and go here at the far end of the field, but for
4:08 the most part, it works out pretty well.
4:11 Sometimes just having to adjust your position will do the trick.
4:15 So looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings.
4:18 Tomorrow will be our first regularly scheduled school meeting and it will have our school
4:24 meeting teams and JC teams.
4:27 That's what I was working on today for our Anacado system.
4:32 We're doing something a little different this year.
4:34 Usually we have scheduled teams, but because of the very flexible attendance policy this
4:42 year, we decided to have just sort of a list and those who are here will be called for
4:51 the teams.
4:53 So it goes.
4:54 All right.
4:55 Well, that's about enough for today.
4:58 Hopefully, I'll start to be able to get some other voices here.
5:05 These first few recordings were just sort of me trying it out, seeing what I can say
5:11 and then, you know, guess we'll see what we can say with other people and what's going
5:17 on.
5:18 All right.
5:19 Hope to see y'all later.
5:22 Have a good one.
